My Story
;Going on 20 years ago now, the house that i grew up in had a horrific house fire and burned down. Both of my parents were sleeping at the time, but thankfully they woke up early enough from the smell of smoke, and were both able to escape unharmed. Some of our pets were not so fortunate, and suffered brain damage & breathing problems due to the smoke inhalation. The effects of a house fire go far beyond what the eye can see, and left us traumatized for many years to come. Needless to say, not a single person in my family has EVER gone near a traditional flamed candle since. After running into a Scentsy consultant at a vendor fair, i was very intrigued by the concept of a No Flame Candle! As i viewed/smelled her lovely display, and listened to her speak of the safety aspects, I thought back to my love of candles and how the ambiance and the sweet smell of a fragrance drifting through the air can so easily set off your mood and emotions. On my way home that night, with my new warmer and wax bar in hand, i thought about how this product may be just what my family needs to conquer our fear of burning candles. When i arrived home, i immediately set up my new scentsy warmer, placed a cube of wax into the dish, and went about my family business for the evening. My husband and children commented on the aroma several times, and couldn't believe that i was burning a candle! When i showed and explained to them that i wasn't 'burning' a candle, and simply was 'warming' and melting a fragrant wax through the power of a low wattage light bulb, everyone was equally amazed and excited! (including myself) I even went as far as placing my fingers in the wax, to show them that the temperature would not burn us or our family pet, should somehow we accidentally knock into it. This product truly had achieved the feeling, and piece of mind that I've been longing for after all these years! The very next morning, i signed up to be an independent consultant with Scentsy, and have loved each and every moment of it since! I love that i have the ability to offer a fun, decorative, flameless candle that has all the benefits of a traditional candle without the worry to all of my family and friends. Today, my mother, my sister and I, have Scentsy warmers in every room in our house, and are confident that Scentsy products are the safest way to scent our world!
